P 3D-Visualisierung: Vom Plan zum 3D-Modell (Blockveranstaltung)

Instructors: Stefan Neil Wetherington
Shortname: Praktische Übung
Course No.: 07.012.895
Course Type: Praktikum

Requirements / organisational issues

The course will be held as a block seminar over three days, with each session lasting four hours.
A laptop and a mouse are required for participation.
The software used, Blender, is open source and free of charge. It can be downloaded either from the official website blender.org or via the Steam platform. Participants may install the software in advance; alternatively, sufficient time is allocated at the beginning of the first session to download and set up the program.

Contents

Using the software Blender, we will collaboratively create our own 3D models based on a building plan and reconstruction proposals. The focus lies on using the software and working with 3D data, exploring potential applications beyond visualization (such as simulations), as well as documentation and archiving. A building, along with the necessary plans and sources, will be provided. Those seeking a challenge are welcome to model a building of their own choice; in that case, the required plans must be researched independently.
